Cellular respiration is a series of metabolic reactions that happens within the cells of an organism. This is done to ultimately create adenosine triphosphate (ATP) by converting biochemical energy from glucose into ATP. The metabolic reaction s that occurs during cellular respiration are catabolic reactions. In simple terms this just means the whole process that large molecules and break them down into smaller molecules. In cellular respiration there is aerobic respiration and anaerobic respiration, this section will cover what occurs in aerobic respiration.
